Kerala to widen NH-7 under Bharatmala project

Kerala which have congested highways is set to get better with Bharatmala project. NHAI has recently invited bids for development of six-lane highways in two sections of the NH-17. The scope of work includes six-laning of Thalapady to Chengala Section of NH-17 (new NH-66) from ch 17.200 (existing 17.20 km) to ch 56.200 (existing 57.200 km) (total length 39.00 km). The estimated value of the work is Rs 1,281.45 crore.

Another section of the highway NH-17 will be six-laning of Chengala to Neeleshwaram Section of NH-17 (new NH-66) from ch 56.200 (existing 57.200 km) to ch 93.468 (existing 95.650 km) (total length 37.268 km) at a cost of ₹ 1243 crore.

All these projects will be completed on Hybrid Annuity Mode.
