Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation is planning to set up a sewage plant in Attukal in Kerala. The sewage project, first envisaged in 2009 under the JNNURM, did not take off for various reasons. Now, land acquisition are completed and a pumping stations will come up at Kalady, Kalady South, Attukal and Kalladimukham, and the sewage line will be connected to the Muttathara sewage treatment plant. The Kerala Water Authority has been asked to prepare a detailed project report (DPR).
